Dear reader,
We would like to invite you to participate in the workshop 'Collective Body' in the renovated Club Solo. This is part of an ongoing art project by Corps Collective, an open collaboration between Klaar van der Lippe, Emmie Liebregts and Fenna Koot. The theme is collective body. Our aim is to make this abstract concept a more concrete tool.
We have put together a program for the weekend that offers several special experiences. We address the relationship between bodies themselves and between the body and the environment. We naturally explore these sensitivities in an environment of mutual respect and support.
It takes place on the weekend of November 30 between 11:00 to 18:00 and December 1 between 12:00 to 18:00. In addition, there is a preparatory evening on Monday, November 25 from 18:00h an introductory workshop from 19:00 to 21:00.
Program:
Monday 25-11
Joint dinner, introduction Contact improvisation.
Saturday 30-11
Exclusive workshop by Thomas Körtvélyessy Kinetic awareness, Reading together from exploratory thinker Sarah Ahmed, Contact Improvisation exercises, concluding with a communal dinner.
Sunday 1-12
Workshop “The Net,” based on a performance by Lygia Clark, exercises Body and Space, visual and textual response to the workshop, concluding with a communal dinner.
'Collective Body' is open to anyone interested in working with the body, open to collective learning and sharing. We ask that you come in clothes in which you can move easily. Bring your own yoga mat, if you have one.

* Kinetic Awareness
is a simple and direct way to explore your own body with attention and simple movement tasks: What can you do, what do you want, what feels good?
The goal of this work is to learn to better understand the signals of your own body
and thereby develop your unique movement possibilities, as far as you want.
The exploration is done step by step and in stages.
Your own observation is thereby supplemented by information about anatomy and physiology.
The teacher helps you through observation and guidance.
Kinetic Awareness is suitable for a variety of purposes:
- Some want to get rid of an acute or long-term injury, or learn to better manage chronic pain.
- Others are curious about what they can actually do.
- Still others use it as training for more dynamism, fun and creativity.
